This recipe belongs to member Cathy Quinata, who posted it to the group in July 2014.
- 4 cups of flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 5 tsp baking powder
- 4 eggs and 1 egg yolk
- 2 cups sugar and 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons white Crisco
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons evaporated milk
- Extra flour to sprinkle and pollinate
Place the dry ingredients from set one in a medium mixing bowl.
In a separate large mixing bowl, combine the butter, Crisco and sugar until well blended. Add eggs and mix them well. Then add milk and vanilla extract, stir well until well blended.
Slowly add dry ingredients from set one to the wet ingredients.
Dust a clean surface with flour from set three and form 1-inch balls and place on a baking sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 17-18 minutes or until golden brown.
