Chinese Maggi Masala Recipe: How To Make This Mumbai Street Style Dish

What do you think of when we say instant noodles? Probably the most common answer will be, Maggi. Much pleasant? Maggi is synonymous with instant noodles for most of us and instantly takes us into the memory. Boiled noodles mixed with the instant masala premix will have us slurping in no time. So much so that we not only make it at home, but also like to have Maggi out of those little watering holes in town. That said, have you ever looked in the menu of these Maggi points? Recently we came across such a Maggi variant that left a strong impression on our palate. It’s Mumbai’s special street style Chinese Maggi masala. So we went looking for the recipe.

While researching, we came across a video by food vlogger Parul, in which she shared the recipe and demonstrated how to prepare Mumbai’s Chinese Maggi masala. She shared the video on her YouTube channel ‘Cook With Parul’. Have a look at the recipe.

How To Make Mumbai’s Popular Street Style Chinese Maggi Masala:

To make this dish we need noodles, salt, red chilli sauce, soy sauce, tomato ketchup, green chilli sauce, oil, garlic, minced ginger, onion, green chilli, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, carrot, cabbage, black pepper powder, Maggi masala, red chili pepper. And to garnish we need some green onion.

Worried to see such an extensive list of ingredients?! Don’t worry, the dish is easier than ever. You only need 15 minutes to prepare the dish.

To start, cook the noodles without breaking them. Then toss the cooked Maggi in some oil. Add the sauces and mix everything together. Keep aside.

Then heat some oil in another pan and add minced garlic, ginger and fry. Add chopped onion, green pepper and cook until onion softens. Then add the bell pepper, carrot, cabbage and fry. Then add salt to taste, pepper powder and Maggi masala and mix everything together. Also add green pepper.

Finally, add the already fried noodles, boil everything together and turn off the heat for a minute. Finally, garnish with spring onion and serve warm.
