The Covid-19 pandemic may be a distant memory, but TikTok food recipes are here to stay – and a new one will go viral in 2022.

‘Healthy cola’ goes viral on TikTok

The latest food craze to take over TikTok is “healthy cola,” a supposedly low-calorie alternative to Coca-Cola’s popular soda.

TikTokers claim that the drink has a classic cola flavor without a lot of sugar, but it consists of two really weird ingredients.

To make ‘healthy cola’, you have to mix balsamic vinegar with sparkling water. Sounds disgusting, right? Well, some people on TikTok really like it!

Just grab a glass of ice, pour in a few drops of balsamic vinegar and fill the glass with sparkling water and voila – healthy cola!

Twitter users disapprove of the recipe

TikTok users may argue that the drink is tasty, but people on Twitter are not thrilled.

Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager try ‘healthy cola’

After the bizarre drink went viral, TODAY hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush decided to give it a try — and it’s safe to say they weren’t thrilled.

“Do we just do everything TikTok says?” Jenna made a nervous joke as the couple poured sparkling water and balsamic vinegar into a glass.

“I have a question. If TikTok told us to jump off a bridge, would you jump off a bridge?” she added hilariously.

The pair both agreed that the drink “looks like Coke” before tasting the healthy Coke, and that’s where it all went wrong.

Hoda took a sip and made a face in horror as Jenna yelled, “This isn’t Coke!”
