For Rach’s “Time Capsule” show (looking back at old trends coming back), she updates one of everyone’s favorite comfort foods, mac ‘n’ cheese. “We’re going to do ham and Swiss, macaroni and peas and sprinkle with deviled breadcrumbs,” she says. It’s easy, but feels a little more special. Instead of baking the pasta after tossing it with the cheese sauce and ham, Rach just pour it into a bowl, top it with the flavored breadcrumbs, and serve it as is. “It just looks so perfect, why put it in the oven and dry it out?” she asks. “It’s just a waste of time.” Drop the microphone!
