Ingredients for sauce:
0.75 cup hot sauce (they use Frank’s Red Hot)
1 knob of unsalted butter
1.5 tbsp white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
0.25 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire
2 tablespoons Cholula or Tabasco
Ingredients for chicken wings:
1-2 pounds chicken wings
Rapeseed oil
Steps:
1. Combine all sauce ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk the ingredients to mix and cook until the butter is completely melted. Remove from fire.
2. While the sauce is cooling, heat 4 cups canola oil in a skillet or saucepan over high heat.
3. Once the oil has reached 375 degrees, season the wings with salt and pepper and drop in the oil for 8-10 minutes or until crispy on the outside and cooked through on the inside. Drain cooked wings on kitchen paper.
4. Toss the wings in enough sauce to cover.
5. Enjoy with ranch, blue cheese or other dipping sauce.
