The weekend has started and it’s time to enjoy all your favorite dishes! Be it the classic Indian rich gravy or the famous chaat pakoris, on weekends you can eat as much as you want. However, if you want something different, how about making some Indo-Chinese?! We have all enjoyed the classic Indo-Chinese flavors since the dawn of time. We absolutely love to enjoy that sauce flavor thrown into crunchy veggies. But if you don’t feel like making a mess in the kitchen, we recommend keeping it simple and making a tasty paneer chowmein!

Chowmein is our own version of Asian Hakka noodles. Paneer chowmein is greasy, spicy, and incredibly flavorful, and it has a fan of its own. So much so that this street style chowmein can now be found in various nooks and crannies of our country. That’s not all, however. Many of us also prepare it at home. But let’s face it, getting the right chowmein texture isn’t as easy as it seems. In reality, most of us overcook the dish, resulting in a soggy mess. Paneer Chowmein Recipe: How to make Paneer Chowmein

Take water in a pan, add salt and olive oil and bring to a boil. Add noodles and cook. Once ready, drain immediately and allow to cool under running water.

Now heat some oil in a heavy bottomed pan and stir fry garlic, ginger-garlic paste and onions over high heat until onions are golden brown. Now add the paneer and let it brown lightly. Add celery and mushrooms, followed by red and green peppers along with the carrot. Stir well. Now add salt, black pepper powder, tomato sauce, chili sauce, soy sauce and vinegar to the vegetable mixture. Toss in the noodles and stir well until well blended. Garnish with spring onions and serve!
