Summer weather may be behind us, but that doesn’t mean the days of sitting back and enjoying a nice cold treat are over. A good ice cream shake knows no season – especially one as decadent as @cafemaddy‘s ice cream milkshake sandwich. And the best part? This one recipe can be done with little effort.
In the video, Cafe Maddy mentions that she thought of the recipe in college. If I came up with these kinds of recipes in college, I would have actually made friends at school. But by my logic, it’s never too late to have fun, so after getting the ingredients from the store, I got to work.
How to make the Ice Cream Sandwich Milkshake
Place the ice cream sandwiches in a blender and extract the milk of your choice. (I used creamy oat milk for extra texture and thickness.) Blend for a few minutes while adding milk until the shake has reached your desired consistency. Then garnish with whipped cream.
You can experiment with toppings in this section of the recipe. In her video, Maddy grated something that I quickly assumed was chocolate. l love chocolate, so I rained the dark chocolate over the whipped cream. And that was it. It was that easy. It took me longer to drink the shake than to make it.
My honest review of the Ice Cream Sandwich Milkshake?
It makes sense for ice cream sandwiches and milkshakes to come together to create an even more fantastic treat. This milkshake was smooth and creamy, and the bitterness of the chocolate chips went well with the sweetness of whipped cream. Next, I will experiment with different ice cream sandwiches, such as mint chocolate chips or strawberry, to make other flavored shakes. I will be making this again soon when I feel like a milkshake, dessert or something sweet.
